PELION SYSTEMS STRENGTHENS BOARD OF DIRECTORS WITH APPOINTMENT OF INDUSTRY VETERAN ED FREY

Manufacturing leader teams up with visionary supply chain synchronization and optimization company

Boulder, Colo. – November 1, 2005 – - Pelion Systems, the market leader in Manufacturing Process Optimization (MPO) solutions, today announced that manufacturing and supply chain expert Ed Frey has joined its board of directors. Frey joins current board members Dave Alcala, Skip Maner and Paul DiBella and brings a wealth of experience to Pelion as it continues to lead the industry in supply chain synchronization expertise and technologies.

Having served more than 14 years at Booz Allen Hamilton (New York and San Francisco) Frey brings a wealth of manufacturing experience to Pelion. During his career, he led engagements with Fortune 500 and global customers undergoing M&A, offshore expansion, business rationalization/diversification and engineering/manufacturing realignment. Based in San Francisco, Frey led the West Coast operations practice for the world-leading consultancy before recently leaving the firm. Prior to that, he held several high-level manufacturing positions, including as an operating manager of a division of an electronic components manufacturer in the aerospace, semiconductor and cable TV/broadcasting industries. Frey holds a master of business administration from Harvard University and B.S. and M.S. degrees in materials science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
