    The Pelion Systems Board of Directors brings a broad range of industry leadership experience. Their diverse backgrounds, business insight and passion for excellence help Pelion fulfill its vision of building a world-class technology and services company.

    Skip Maner – Member of the Board
    Skip Maner is a Managing Principal of Inverness Capital Partners. Prior to joining Inverness, Skip spent eight years in venture capital with TL Ventures, Internet Capital Group, and Safeguard Scientifics. Prior to becoming a venture investor, Skip was an entrepreneur and served as president and founder of two companies including a recycled products manufacturer. Skip pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Richmond, and his graduate studies at the Wharton School of Business.

    Jerry Schmidt – Member of the Board
    Jerry Schmidt is a co-founder and managing partner of Cordova Ventures. He has been instrumental in building Cordova into a premier venture company with seven related funds. A major portion of Jerry's career was spent with Jostens, Inc., a formerly publicly-traded New York Stock Exchange company on the Standard & Poor's 500, involved in the manufacturing and sale of motivation and recognition products to educational institutions and companies. He joined Manderson & Associates in 1988, where he and Lewis M. Manderson formed Cordova Capital in 1989. Throughout his career at Cordova, Jerry has served on numerous privately held boards within Cordova’s portfolio of investments, as well as publicly traded companies in the financial services, healthcare and telecommunications industries. He attended the University of Minnesota and received his Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University.

    Ed Frey – Member of the Board
    Ed Frey brings a wealth of manufacturing experience to Pelion, having served more than 14 years at Booz Allen Hamilton (New York and San Francisco). During his career, he led engagements with Fortune 500 and global customers undergoing M&A, offshore expansion, business rationalization/diversification and engineering/manufacturing realignment. Based in San Francisco, Ed Frey led the West Coast operations practice for the world-leading consultancy before recently leaving the firm. Prior to that, he held several high-level manufacturing positions, including as an operating manager of a division of an electronic components manufacturer in the aerospace, semiconductor and cable TV/broadcasting industries. Frey holds a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University and B.S. and M.S. degrees in Materials Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

    Kevin Fallon – Member of the Board
    Fallon brings more than 20 years of engineering, marketing, operations and executive management experience to Pelion. His background includes positions with RCA and General Electric, founder of four technology ventures, and executive positions in private and public companies. Highlights include serving as president and CEO of All-Control Systems, where he built the company from start-up before it was acquired by Tava Technologies. Kevin was chief operating officer of Tava and president of two divisions, where he directed the integration of five merged entities that jumped revenue from $36 million to more than $100 million in 30 months. Tava subsequently was acquired by REAL Software for approximately $200 million. Kevin holds a Masters in Business Administration from The Wharton School / University of Pennsylvania and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University.
